Korean Food Chef’s Contest is the world's largest exporter and importer of agricultural products. Korean agricultural exports to the U.S. have grown by more than 10% each year for the past five years. The Embassy of the Republic of Korea held a Korean food contest using imported ingredients to induce interest in Korean food and increase consumption.
This event received extensive media coverage, featured renowned chefs from the DMV area, and was judged by celebrity culinary personalities. It gave the finalists the opportunity to win a trip to Korea to learn more about food in the Korean culture. Our winner, Scott Drewno, joined winners from 22 countries on the trip, where they visited food museums, attended classes, and were fully immersed in the cuisine of Korea.
