A celebration of Korean heritage, bold flavors, and the art of Sool!
High above the city at Riff Raff NYC on October 13, 2026, glasses were raised in celebration of Korean flavors, traditions, and the art of sool. K-Food in US was proud to present The Korean Sool Table, an intimate gathering with 2026 K-Food Ambassador Chef Hooni Kim, for an evening that brought Korean food and drink together in a truly memorable way.
Hosted by the Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) and the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT America), the event welcomed culinary and industry professionals to explore the craftsmanship, fermentation, and stories behind traditional Korean wine and spirits. Chef Kim’s approach to Korean cuisine, which blends tradition, craftsmanship, and modern perspectives, shaped the spirit of the entire evening.
A striking lineup of Korean bottles, from crystal-clear spirits to amber and earth-toned brews, graced the bar, offering guests a taste of Korea’s rich brewing heritage. Each pour was paired with thoughtfully curated K-bites prepared by Chef Kiki Kim and the Virgin Hotels culinary team, from savory snacks to delicate bites arranged along the bar.
As the evening unfolded, the room filled with conversation, laughter, and new connections. Chefs, industry leaders, and friends of Korean cuisine raised their glasses against the New York skyline, a reminder of how far Korean food and culture have traveled.
K-Food in US extends heartfelt thanks to MAFRA, aT America, Chef Hooni Kim, Chef Kiki Kim, the Virgin Hotels team, our partners, and everyone who joined us. Here’s to continuing to share and celebrate Korean food and culture!
