Korean Summer Noodles and Dumplings

Learn to make Korean dumplings and noodles that are great for the summer season! We travel in time and make traditional summer dumplings from the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1897) and some of the most popular summer noodle dishes now. We will explain step-by-step why and how important sauces and ingredients are used in Korean cooking as we make these fun and easy dishes of noodles and dumplings. Gain confidence to recreate these flavorful Korean dishes at home and even create your own version of Korean dishes with the Korean cooking techniques you learn in class! We will end the class on a sweet note with the most popular Korean summer dessert Patbingsu, shaved ice with sweet red beans and mini mochi toppings.

On the menu:
Kimchi mari guksu 김치말이 국수 – Green tea noodles in chilled kimchi broth
Bibim guksu 비빔 국수 – Spicy buckwheat noodle salad
Naeng myeon 냉면 – Chewy arrowroot noodles in chilled beef broth
Pyeonsu 편수 – Square dumplings with summer squash & shitake filling
Gyuasang 규아상 – Steamed cucumber & beef dumplings
Patbingsu 팥빙수 – Shaved ice with sweet red beans and mini mochi toppings

* Final menu items are subject to change based on market availability.

* No refunds are offered on Banchan Story’s classes. Students must cancel at least 72 hours before the scheduled class to receive the full value of their purchase in class credit to be used towards another class. Cancellations within 72 hours are not eligible for class credit. However, we are always happy to welcome someone in your place. Class spots are fully transferrable.
